Trinamool MP Derek O'Brien requests Delhi Police permission for protests against Central Government

Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien has penned a fresh letter to the Delhi Police, seeking permission to stage protests at three prominent locations in Delhi. The protests, scheduled for October 3, are intended to highlight the plight of West Bengal workers who have been denied wages under the MGNREGA scheme. O'Brien's request for permission to hold these demonstrations, involving MGNREGA workers from West Bengal, was submitted on October 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at several locations, including Lodhi Street, Union Minister Giriraj Singh's residence, Krishi Bhawan, and Jantar Mantar.

As of now, there has been no response from the authorities, prompting O'Brien to urge the Deputy Commissioner of Police for a prompt update.
